Other half was having dreadful problems i.e. 4 of the Querty keys just packed up. Was quoted a minimum of 70GBP to replace, so we just plugged in an other keyboard that we had spare , ignored the keyboard that went with the laptop and problem solved immediately. Just a thought.

Thanks Sophie, unfortunately I dont have a spare so I will have to buy. If they are that expensive I will get one from the UK.

I had the same problem, 5 keys packed in. Bought a USB keyboard from the guy in Karakum for 10 dollars, it is a Turkish keyboard but he has a "sticky" pad in English to stick over the key pads, problem solved.

If you are going South then Superhome has english keyboards upstairs, USB, corded and bluetooth from around 19 Euros for bluetooth.

Thanks for offer, running on wired keyboard now as a spare for when the wireless ones break down. Will replace it with wireless next week so no problem.

You cn get wireless keyboards here don't ned to go all the way to the south. They are available in any of the techno mega or techno gold shops you find all over the place. They def have them in the one in the same parade of shops as Tims cafe.
