I recently bought a brand new Echo Show. I bought the devicefrom a seller on Ebay and not Amazon. Unfortunately I cannot register it to my Amazon Account. I have called Amazon and they are unable to help. They suggested it may still be registered tosomeone else.
I have tried to contact the seller but have got nowhere. Does anyone know if it's possible to unlock it or set it up by some other way?
Many thanks.

Hello there!

Thank you for the details. Let's try the instructions for resetting the device and see if that makes a difference. Here's how you can Reset using buttons :

Press and hold the Mute and Volume Down buttons until you see the Amazon logo (about 15 seconds).
When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device.
Once done, try registering the device again and let me know if it helps.

Yes I am using the same details that I use for my other Echo/Alexa devices but this one will not recognise my account. When I called Amazon for help I had to give them the DSN of the device and they suggested that I asked for a replacement because it may have been blocked, stolen etc.
I bought this in hood faith from a seller on Ebay and the product was brand new and still sealed.
Does anyone know if it is possible to unblock/unlock the device? I can't return it now and it cost me £104.50!

Thank you. I contacted Yen but there is nothing he can do. Amazon have blocked it. It seems I have bought a stolen one from Ebay!

For your lost or stolen Amazon device, contact Amazon Customer Service.

Amazon Customer Service marks the device as Lost/Stolen. It prevents the device from getting registered to another Amazon account in most cases.

Tip: Note down the serial number of your device before contacting Customer Service.

To locate your device serial number:

Go to Manage Your Content and Devices and select the Devices tab.
Click on the device name and copy the serial number.
Go to Contact Us.
Important: Don't deregister or update your device registration before contacting Amazon.

If you don't wish to contact Customer Service, you can deregister your device:

Go to Manage Your Content and Devices and select the Devices tab.
Select your lost or stolen device.
Click Deregister and follow the instructions.
Note: For your lost or stolen Fire tablet or Fire phone, you can use a variety of features available on your device.
