Pressure test needed to detect leak
I need a specialist to do a pressure test on a swimming pool which has a leak. It is not a ballast tank problem. Any interested parties please contact me ASAP. The pool is not drained but is leaking water. Karsiyaka area. If you do not have the right equipment please do not respond to this post.
Pressure testing equipment establishes the foundation to your leak detection equipment arsenal. It is crucial for two important steps in the leak detection process: First to determine if a section of plumbing is or isn’t leaking, and secondly, to assist in pinpointing the exact location of the leak if one is identified.
Does anyone know a Company that will carry this out?

We can carry out all tests and have the proper equipment to detect leaks.

Re: Pressure test needed to detect leak
Thanks Hatib. At this stage I have bought some leak sealant and will see if that works before moving on to pressure testing if necessary.
Re: Pressure test needed to detect leak
You can help to establish whether leak is at bottom of pool or further up the pool yourself but you will need dry, cool weather and patience. Hot weather will distort analysis due to evaporation.
Start off with a full pool and switch pool pump OFF and close any valves.
Check and measure how much the water level has dropped each day (ideally at the same time)
When the water level stops dropping you will at least know how far down the pool your leak is.
Common leak areas are pool lights, overflows etc.
If you have any areas in your pool terrace, these areas may also be linked to pool leak.
Could take a few weeks before you pool level drops significantly.
Unfortunately marine sealants rarely work longterm as they react with the pool chemicals.
Good luck!

Re: Pressure test needed to detect leak
May I suggest before spending money on pressure testing, we used to install pools in UK. On one occasion after 5 years one developed a leak. We turned everything off & used ink (type used in fountain pens) used a syringe & gently squirted around all lights, returns to pool. The ink will go toward any leakage. Worked for us.
