Mobile phone ring sound enhancer

Does anyone know of a way to 'up' the mobile phone ringtone on incoming calls - apart from the obvious. No I don't want hearing aids! There are sound enhancers for sale on such as Amazon, but not sure if they enhance the ringtone sound or are only for playing music.
