I will be going across to insure my car in the South for the month in the next week. I need to add an additional driver but they will not be with me on that day. Do I need their passport details of anything to add them? I have searched but could not find ananswer.

Hi Chris, when we`ve done it at Metehan we`ve only needed to show the person`s driving licence.

That has been my experience also.
If they're not actually here yet, I'm fairly sure that a copy/printed scan of their driving licence would suffice.
Remember that only native - born TCs are allowed to drive in the South on a TRNC driving licence.

Thanks Karen and Keith.
My friend is ex pat and has a full UK licence so I will take a copy of that and hope for the best.

Just to confirm for others in the future. Photo of other person's licence on your phone will suffice.
