If you type Garanti into the search box at the top of the screen and read the first 25 or so posts, you'll have your answer...Steve C wrote:I am being told that Garanti bank are now charging 2.5% to withdraw terming.

As there a two threads with the same title I will copy my last on to this one as well.
Just checked, my last withdrawal was the 13th Oct. How do they charge the 2.5% then? 2.5% of £500 is £12.50. Will they only pay out £487.50 and if so which slot do the coins come out of? OR Are they imposing that 2.5% on the UK bank itself?

No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

It will appear on your UK bank statement as a £512:50 debit.

Re: Garanti bank sterling
Checked my bank statement and there is nothing there, only the £500 withdrawal - perhaps I made it before they imposed it?
But! If the charge is 2.5% then why was terry only charged £2.50 for a £200 withdrawal when it should have been £5.00 - maybe it is a set £2.50 fee for any foreign currency withdrawal.
Has anyone tried withdrawing Euros for instance?

I think that the 2.5% charge is a fairly recent "Innovation".
