Excellent hotel in the Karpaz

I have just returned from a four day trip to the Karpaz. I did some research on various hotels in the region which sounded lovely but a number were in the not so charming village of Dipkarpaz. We stopped for a drink at The Blue Sea Hotel (details below) some ten mins from Dipkarpaz - East. Lovely location right on the small fishing harbour and great beach. The owners, Ifran and Mesut Dindar were so hospitable we decided to stay. Hotel type rooms with aircon were fine but the dining room/lounge is a huge room on the ground floor. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the owners to deal with. Very highly recommended.

For anyone planning to vist the Karpaz this is somewhere you should seriously consider.

We did a drive-by on some of the better known establishments in Dipkarpaz itself but frankly the location of Blue Sea is in a different class.

Unfortunately their website domain name expired at the end of last month so it is not a valid website address anymore and that maybe the same for the e-mail address but their mobile number should still be valid.

Stayed at the Blue Sea a couple of times in the past, first time was 8 years ago and more recently 3 years ago. Really lovely place and I can also recommend.

Basic, clean rooms, good food, nice beach and very hospitable.

Recommend.

Stayed there many years ago, before they had mains electricity! There was a generator but it gave very limited power & you couldn't use a hairdryer after a shower. The food was delicious though & the setting quite lovely as you dined by candlelight. From memory we paid very little for our stay then.

good question Jonnie, and one I would ask. I stay at Balci Plaza when I go, as my 'baby' can come with me. would be good to know the policy at this place.
Nothing on their web page either way. does anyone know?

Looks good. Cheaper and better views than Dipkarpaz.

Worth a try . But I only just managed to find Dipkarpaz.

Loose Boots Glad you found Dipkarpas
When you get to the centre of Dipkarpas there is a right turn follow the road for four or five miles and there you are
