Tree felling

Postby Bahcelibelly » Thu 07 Nov 2019 12:08 pm

I have a 50 ft conifer/fir tree that unfortunately due to it's size the roots are causing issues with my garden walls and my pool and blocking my neighbours light and covering his drive with needle drop .This tree needs taking down carefully to avoid damage to neighbours plants , so i need someone who knows what they are doing to bring down in stages safely . Have tried myself but i dont do heights lol , any help would be appreciated .

Yes do make sure whoever does it for you gets the correct permission. We had to get someone from the Forestry Dept to come and see what needed doing and give permission in the form of a letter which has to be stamped. They wanted to know who would be doing the job and when and they came to check on the day and stamp the wood once it was felled.
