Hi, Is it for a local burial or repatriation (if so through the north or via the south?) Be prepared, that anyone who dies in the North and is repatriated via the south, they will have a post mortem undertaken at Nicosia General and a new death certificate issued by the south, with a new date of death (date of transfer) - this is because the south will not accept or recognise death certs issued in the North. You can still keep the North paperwork and it will be accepted for use in the UK.

The British Cemetery Committee Kyrenia I second that Harry Fellows was so helpful in our hour of need and led us through everything gracefully and respectfully and so very grateful for his help

It’s my understanding that Lapta Cemetery is looked after by the TFR (see above).
The British Cemetery Committee manage Green Hill Cemetery.

To anyone wanting to repatriate a body to the UK you must be very careful. I have just had and am still having a bad experience. It has been so stressful and upsetting what happened.

TB10 sorry to hear that . As far as I know there is only one 'company/individual' that does repatriation from the north via Turkey, mainly to the UK. Heard varying reports about the service and costs.

I had a local UK friend use CO-OP in the UK.
They dealt with everything, from the collection from the morgue ,then to the south ,then flown to UK and taken to the undertakers.
All paperwork etc.
Not stupid money
They use Co-op contacts here and the south
