I know Serdar and have bought good quality logs from him when my normal supplier has been unavailable. He is much too expensive in my view, but his logs have always been good quality. Sorry to repeat myself.

If it is the Serdar we know, he is too expensive, almost greedy, playing on the Brits! He cut some trees for us a few years back and his charge was extortinate! We fell for it first time, but not again when he came back the next year to pollard them again!

I have to say I have been stitched up

I have been using him for about 10 years and have been happy,

So a few weeks ago he came round, as usual, gave me a price and deliver the next day, as I was not going to be in, I gave him the money, of which I have done for 10 years or so and normally logs are there all stacked neatly.

Only this time he as done a runner, but we do use the same supermarket so I will catch up with him

He has done the same to us. After 10 years we thought he was trustworthy, sadly not. If you catch him in the supermarket, you may be lucky. Unfortunately we live in Çatalköy so not likely to see him.

He came to us the other week in his car asking for money, NOT a log in sight. Asked him where were the logs, he said pay him now and he would deliver the logs later. My response was to tell him to “do one”, and he drove off.
I haven’t brought logs from him for awhile now, prices far too high. Beware of this guy he is a con merchant
Tend to agree with Frontalman on this individual; looks like a drugs or drink problem.

I suspect it may be gambling debt something like this happened quite a while ago when he claimed he needed money as bad men were after him to pay his debt

I have to say that we had a kitchen done by Serdar and his brother et al, and it was done within amount asked, very good work and fairly quick. We also had trees cut by him, chainsaw up very high trees, all done efficiently without problems and cleared away reasonably well. Such a shame to hear that he let others down.

Sold serdar some tools he said he would be back with the money he ignored my calls. I had to go to lapta police to get the money back

In answer to above I paid Serdar on 15th October.

He didn't deliver on the promised day so called him on my phone. No response. So used wife's phone. Got through but promise of delivery not kept. Eventually asked a TC friend to have a word with him. Success. Delivery made as promised.

Good quality wood (Eucalyptus). 1200 tl for a larger than usual lorry load (not his usual lorry.)

Paid Necat 1000TL for a lorry load (that's how he sells them ~ not sure of exact weight) & am more than happy with the quantity. Hopefully it will last us the winter!

Very good news Serdar delivered all logs that I paid for, and an extra load for all the waiting the guy came good.

I will continue to purchase my logs from him in the future.

I have used this guy many times in the past. He called a couple of days ago asking did we need any logs, as it happens we have enough. Thomas, you owe me a pint, I mentioned your name to him and others that were upset on this thread, he seemed to take it on board, lets hope he has changed?
