Jolly good!

I wonder whether any other Country will recognise them!

I'm sure that the GCs will do their damndest to make sure that they don't...

Well, it took 22 years for the UN to recognise China, and 30 years for the USA to do so, so there's plenty of time for TRNC driving licenses before any new records are set....

When we go back to UK and hire a car from the airport, our TRNC Driving Licence has always been accepted, in fact it is far easier them using our UK driving licence, as you have to carry out some kind of online check..... don't have to do that with TRNC one, but maybe the car hire companies just don't realise what they are....

I found that some hire car places in UK were more savvy than others. Smaller towns were fine but a couple of the world wide companies at Stansted wouldn't accept them. Some people were impressed with the amount of information contained on them.

If the EU accept it then the South “Should” accept it as they already demand an EU license from UK citizens to allow you to drive there. However, the ones the TRNC issue to non-Cypriots will probably be declared as fake by the South anyway. If Brexit goes ahead they will still want to see your non-EU, third country license to prove you are legal, with your IDP and visa of course - lol. This sounds a bit like the new 18 residency laws to me, don’t hold your breath that it will happen but if it does I guarantee there will be a fee attached!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

And that's all assuming that the GC's will allow anyone other than Cypriots and EU Citizens to cross the Green line anyway, post Brexit!

Our licences run until 2023, only had them a year ago today. Jumped though enough hoops then to obtain one. Nothing is straight forward for us swallows these days.

We used out TRNC driving licences in Australia when hiring a car with no problem.
Their main concern is that the licence should either be in English or have a translation. As the TRNC licence was 'subtitled' in English there was no problem. Mnd you TRNC wasn't in the drop down menu (it never is) but we just said it was a licence from Cyprus and they accepted that.
