Re: Weighty luggage
I don't know the answer but I had to pose a question to Turkish Airlines the other day and used this email address for the Lefkosa office, I got a reply within 24 hours: [email protected]
Added bonus is that I got a customer service reference and written confirmation to show the check-in staff. Plus you will get the answer from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Re: Weighty luggage
I can confirm that the maximum weight allowed for any single item of luggage is 32kgs. The luggage belt at check-in (at most airports) will not work if the item is even 200 grams over. Hope this helps.

Yes, you're right, of course fincho, but the question was not "What is your (free) allowance", but "what is the maximumum permissible weight per item"fincho wrote:Business Class is 32kilos but that's not what you get cattle class.

Re: Weighty luggage
In 2012 I brought back a single bag that weighed 48kg.....it was a huge holdall. So they do take bigger than advertised but I would take the advice given and check first.
