Can someone tell me the price of a small new car in Cyprus please on the road and if there are any websites of dealers please, also some idea of tax and insurance of this car would be greatly appreciated

All the car dealers have web sites, email them for the details you want.

Tiga Trading have a very good reputation from UK citizens I know who've bought new cars from them. Tiga also have their own mechanics for any maintenance. They speak very good English I'm told and they have their own website.

Yep Tiga will import virtually any Japanese make small car nearly new for a good value purchase... if they haven't already got what you are looking for they'll get one in.

I would recommended Tiga trading, they have been very good with everything they have done for me even when I have been in the UK, they have carried out work for me and paperwork.

I'd have a look at Hyundai. Good cars with a 5 year guarantee. Asok Ltd in Nicosia, main dealer, good service and reasonable prices on new cars.

Tiga , you cannot get any better, we bought a brilliant car from them and the after service is unbeatable

I am with you Hector - its Asoc for me everytime! Very good value for money new and used cars and super service all round. Hyundai seem to be built for the roads and conditions here and I have never had trouble with mine - taxi hitting me apart, lol.

We bought new from Cangar Motors, a Ford Focus. It was the branch on the bypass Girne area we went to, but they have a larger showroom in Lefkosa. The reason we went new is because after doing a bit of research, second hand cars hold their value here much more than in UK, so the difference between new and second hand pricing isn't so great.

We also felt buying new, we knew the history of the car as it had none. Friends of our bought a second hand smaller car about 1-2 years old, paid not that much less than us and wished they'd bought new. Cos for the difference in price we got a bran new car and a bigger one.

So look at all options before you decide,

1400 euro Opel corsa, big sign in the window yesterday.

Just bought our car from Akin Motors http://www.akinmotors.com by the traffic lights in Girne. Very helpful owner and he was very patient when our friend did some test drives and checked the car out for us on the forecourt.

Hyundai from Tiga, originally from Asok can't fault it
