metal detector

my husband has lost his wedding ring which we are hoping is somewhere in the garden, so, does anyone have a metal detector which they would be kind enough to loan us for a couple of hours.

ohhhhhh you need to be careful with this posting.....metal detectors are illegal here!!!! maybe PM's only!!!!!!!!

It is illegal to bring or and operate Metal detectors in the TRNC without a prior approval / licence. Persons caught with MD are liable and may face fine and possible imprisonment.
You might be lucky to find someone who has a licence and willing to help you in search for your lost ring.
Here is a suggestion "its a long shot" but worth trying.
Go to the castle in Girne Harbour "The antiquity department", they must have metal detectors.
Ask if they can help; by"sending an officer with a metal detector to carry a search for you.
