There will be a 1-minute siren at 10.30 am on Thursday

The Department of Civil Defence have announced there will be a 1-minute yellow/amber-warning siren at 10.30am on Thursday (Boxing Day). The siren will be broadcast from mosque speakers. The reason for the siren is to test the sound levels etc.

Thanks Ian for the warning. I live in Ozankoy and if that was an early warning system, then I am dead in my bed! I could barely hear a faint whining sound some where in the far distance!

Normally hear the 5 times a day shout very clearly. If there was a siren then we are in trouble cos never heard a thing.
