opening times and days for charities

Does anyone know where to take unwanted items for Tulips or NCCCT and opening days plus times please. I wish to take some things but don't want a wasted drive into Girne if the shops are closed. Thanks

Tulips do have a stall at Lamar in Karakum on a Wednesday if that helps and also on Saturday

Tulips normally have a stall at Lamboussa ona Saturday and Catalkoy on a Weddnesday, but they can be reached by phone and may collect.

As to the NCCCT, the Heartbeat shop is open virtually every morning and the Hut on Saturday mornings.

Hopefully someone such as Sue or a rep of NCCT will respond.

If they don't I will post the details later, but they are buried in the bowels of my computer!

If I am correct the shop behind the post office is open Wed and Sat morning. Heart Beat shop by the hospital is open mornings Mon, Thur, Fri, Sat. not sure of the exact times, but will get some one to confirm

The North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust has two second‑hand shops in Girne. The Hut, situated behind Girne Post Office, is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9.30am to 12 noon. Heartbeat, situated in the old Girne hospital, is open on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9.30am to 1pm.

Donations of clothes, books, bric-a-brac and household items are always welcome at both shops.

Is the clothes shop called Tulips just along from Maria's bar in Alsancak the cancer charity Tulips? as I wanted to drop up some stuff.

To update this thread, the Tulips stall at Lemar on a Wednesday is now closed however we still have a regular stall on Saturday's at Chateau Lambousa and are always happy to receive items there.

If it is inconvenient to get to the stall (or you do not go to Chat. Lamb) then please call either:

We would be more than happy to meet you somewhere convenient to pick up or we can collect.

We are very short of 'table top' items at the moment - these can include household linens, kitchen goods, electrical items, garden items, small pieces of furniture, phones, etc - basically anything you can get on a table top!

Re: the Tulips Shop in Alsancak - yes, it is on the same side and along from Atakara Petrol Station and opposite the Hillside Restaurant.

Morning! Just wanted to give an update on the opening times of The Heartbeat Shop and The Hut which are both the shops run by the North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust.

The Heartbeat shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30a.m. till 1.00pm. (No longer open on Saturdays)

The Hut shop is open on Wednesday and Saturday from 9.30a.m. till 12.00pm.

By covering the six days between the two shops we are hoping to be able to sell more items and therefore help and give more to the Hospital.
Sorry for any confusion this change may cause but do come in and see us, even if it is only for a Cuppa and a chat! Of course we then have the Coffee Mornings, every 2nd Tuesday of the month!

Hello Wendy here. Just to remind people that North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust hold a Coffee Morning on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, apart from December when the day will be different as it will be a Christmas Fai
It was a little bit confusing for some people who attended this mornings at the Savoy Hotel, as they expected the Heartbeat Shop to be open as well.
Unfortunately there are not enough of us to do both! So just to confirm that when it is a Coffee Morning the Heartbeat shop will be closed but on the other Tuesdays of the month, it will be open..

Some will say - As clear as Mud !
