Anyone had a cortisone I section directly into their knee . X-ray shoes stage 4 deterioration . Cartilage now gone. So wondering how much it costs roughly . Also did it help at all and if so then how long for. Guess all private hospitals do this procedure
Many thanks in advance

Yes. Appointment for cortisone in UK end of month. Flights horrific proved so was looking at my options. UK won't go down the replacement route until I've had cortisone and exhausted every route

Re: Cortisone injections
If bone on bone then cortisone little or no help at all! Just had first knee done in UK on 27/6. I found after around 4 different injections in both knees over 4 years only first in each was any good & lasted maybe 3 weeks. Reason for surgery taking 4+ years was the fact we moved 3 times in that period to different areas. This op I was referred to specialist in April & done in less than 3 months. Physio informed me that cortisone do virtually nothing when it gets to bone on bone stage.

Just had knee aspiration(drained) then cortisone. 3000 TL . Instant relief as I can bend my knee now. The draining was the most important as the swelling was restricting movement .
