Looks like BBC is down altogether HOWEVER its alive and kicking when we switched to watching it on FilmOn.

This was a MM specific issue and should now be resolved. You should be able to reach bbc sites without using the VPN - but for geo restricted content you will need to use the manual vpn.
If you still can not reach the main bbc.co.uk webpage without using the vpn please try 'cntrl + f5' key.
