Computer help needed

My friend can not get his Levona laptop to connect to the internet, took it to Laconic who said there must be a program on his computer stopping this. They suggested it was a VPN he had, he has removed this but still cannot connect. Anyone out there with the skills to sort this out.

I realise it is the wrong side of Girne for you but Ahmet at Ardinç in Karakum is very good.

Just a long shot laptatony but have you inadvertently disabled the connection button on the top row of your keys ?
it looks like a big "A" with ears on (sorry about description) don't know what they call it.
Took me ages to work this one out after my grandson had been bashing my keypad
