Divorce & homeless & want to leave
35 year old mum to 3 children, married 6 years,
Unfortunatly the biggest mistake ofy life.
Cypriot husband always threatening me and I feel I'm in abusive marriage.
I asked him to take a loan for support money for kids so I can leave him and go back to UK.
He's agreed to sort that all out, but I'm so afraid what to do next!
I have been here 11 years, first weekend I come to live with parents before they divorced mum decides to tell me she's finished with my dad after 31 years.. no reason. New villa sold quick sale, she then moved to Turkey with new fella she met after. Remarried.
Dad went back to UK.
I was here alone with my son as single parent fending for myself with no help at all.
Since then, none of my family bother with me, no contact. Nothing.
I looked after myself for 3 years until imet somebody then after a year together we got married and had 2 children together.
Was great at first although I was never accepted by any of his family and relatives for being a single parent!
Which has always strain on out relationship.
Before I moved here 11 years ago, I was living in Newquay Cornwall for 8 years where my son is from.
I'm trying to get back there again, because I no it was where we was happy before.
I will totally be leaving here with nothing, onlyy kids and a few cases. And a little bit of support money to help me for short while.
The questions are ...
1)Am I still entitled to government help untill I'm ony feet to look for work.
Also I would need help with housing.
2) can I easily registery 2 children in UK that was born in trnc?
3) am I able to go back to Newquay Cornwall where I left before I come here?
4) will we be homeless when we arrive?
5) do I get divorced here first before I leave?
I hope somebody can advise me what I can do.
Thankyou

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice, but feel I just can't read & go. I am so sorry you have found yourself in this situation. I am in UK but know a lot of people in TRNC & will ask if anyone can help with advice. I'm assuming you hold a UK passport.
I have sent you a pm

Re: Divorce & homeless & want to leave
Yes I hold a UK passport and kimlik card
He's agreed to allow me to go anyway to give kids a better life they deserve.
Husband has been living with his parents the last 2 years mostly. And always first stop after work and eat his dinner there.
He might give me and kids 5/10 minutes stopping by on way to evening job for his uncle.
If we are lucky.
He blocks me on WhatsApp often, and if I had emergency for me and kids I cant get hold of anyone!
I'm imprisoned to the house with hatred either side is relatives that don't speak to me or stare at me and make me and kids uncomfortable.
So we tend to sit in back garden, which is difficult when open planned to aunty house!
Thankyou Kerry for the links.
I will take a look.
Appreciated

it maybe worth getting this in writing perhaps even notarised incase there are any future claims that you took the kids without his consentNikonina wrote:Yes I hold a UK passport

Re: Divorce & homeless & want to leave
We have put a letter together and I have his signature signed as agreement.
I was just more worried about his family getting involved as I have nobody to helpe but myself.
Now the awkward part ..
How do I get my kids back to the UK that was obviously born here?
I don't know what I should be applying for?
Would it be best to get a normal trnc passport / European passport
Use them.. then register kids in UK there properly and apply for their UK passports later?
Any feedback greatfully u
Thanks
