Upper crust Bakery and pies

Dropped by there yesterday. Some great pies was impressed. Owner was friendly fella. Thoughts?

I had a lovely Victoria sponge cake and butterfly cakes made for my birthday, first time the restaurant owner said no cake left where I celebrated my day.

It was just like mummy made as requested.

I have been a customer and a fan of this place for years ,( although I dont get there as often as I would like these days,) since before it changed hands and it continues to be excellent. The only times I have been disappointed is when they dont have my absolute favourite - lemon meringue tart - but they always have many other things to tempt me! Five stars.

I love the custard tarts (as well as loads of other delights!).

The chap behind the counter is called Chris, he used to work for Sunny Cyprus Internet, in the row of shops where the Dragon Chinese restaurant is in Karakum. He looks a lot happier now that he can eat pies instead of dealing with obstreperous Internet customers!

I might say that he looks somewhat rounder, but as people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, I won't!

The best bakery in North Cyprus. Her pastry is very good, especially on the Cornish pasties and steak pies which are excellent. The cakes are to die for and also the sandwiches, which they make to order, are very good, not to mention the scotch eggs.
