Went to the Kitchen this afternoon to buy my wife a nice meal to celebrate her birthday, not only was the meal lovely as always but they played happy birthday, brought out a big slice of cake with a candle and gave us a complimentary half bottle of fizz, that's what you call service.

only a slice of cake and a half bottle? Nice but a bit stingy.

We have been there about three or four times and always found the food disappointing and the service appalling. They seem to set-up for tourists only. You can't please everyone I suppose.

Still discovering the really nice places to eat in the area but The Kitchen stands out for the quality of its ingredients and modern cooking style. We stumbled on earlier this year after picking up our hire car on the area outside. Good service, lovely food and a really nice atmosphere!

We visited The Kitchen again and they are maintaining their high standards we have had on previous visits. The waiters were really lovely , the food was excellent . Only one little niggle.....they didn't have any Efes???!!! I thought everywhere sold it!

They only sell beers that are distributed by the Heineken group, this because the beer (draft) equipment and all the other odd's and end's are also supplied free by the Heineken group at this time - therefore if you want any other beer you can't get it there.

This does not detract from the excellent food on offer and I still maintain it is a good venue and good food as well, despite having to go without my normal glass of "Charlie" - maybe it will change as the suppliers change.

When we went there the chips were frozen ie not fresh as were the vegetables. I only like fresh vegetables and can easily tell the difference. That was over a year ago. Has it changed? I would try it again if they used fresh produce
