Lunch at Messina
Choice of starters, second course and main meal, including a local drink, 40tl.
I chose garlic mushrooms, followed by smoked salmon plate, then red mullet.
In my opinion this was very good value for money, and the setting is beautiful.

Re: Lunch at Messina
Am I correct in thinking Messina has changed hands in ownership recently ?

Re: Lunch at Messina
Sorry, don't know about it changing hands, I'm not a regular customer.
I do know that what I had, I enjoyed, and the service was great.

I for one sincerely hope it has changed ownership. Went last year and had the worst service from any restaurant. Got our starters at the same time as the main course and the waiter thought it was amusing and laughed. When I complained to the owner, on leaving, having paid the bill (no tip) he offered to reduce the bill, on our NEXT visit!!! excuse me!

Oh dear Owl lady, what a shame.
All I can say is that 27 ladies went, obviously booked, and the service was great, we couldn't fault it.
Maybe give them another try?

Re: Lunch at Messina
Maybe!! but do you mind if I ask, are you Cypriot or British? We were three of only seven Brits in the restaurant.

Re: Lunch at Messina
as far as I'm aware, all 27 of us were British, there were other tables of Cypriots in there too.
