I've been studying the price for our next trip BHX to ECN
Sometimes you need to check whats infront of you oryou could overnight in Ataturk or have a transfer cost to Sab Goronkin
Cheapest option has consistently come up as 16:20 depart BHX arrive IST 22:10
overnight in IST flight out to ECN 7:05 next morning
Also SAW 7:20
The price is £219 if you amend to a connecting flight on the same day its £1 more
Just be careful when booking to avoid an overnight in Ataturk or a transfer to SAW pus the cost of a visa

I meant to add it worked for me when I booked All London Airports on the TA site it was out LHR return LGW £188 and as it was for London based children take off and landing was not an issue being different airports.

Always look for the least travel time that gives you an indication of the best times.
