Race Afternoon -EFRAR/Tulips - Tropicana 16th April

A Race afternoon held on Easter Sunday, 16th April at The Tropicana Club in Ozankoy in support of EFRAR 2017 supporting Tulips raised a generous TL1,650.

About 40 people attended the fun afternoon of racing with two punters even braving the bracing temperatures of the Tropicana pool.

Punters enjoyed nine races, plus an auction race, with the additional attraction of bidding to own a horse and as the afternoon wore on the shouts grew increasingly louder.

Mary Watson, Chair of EFRAR 2017 commented: “These race events are real crowd pleasers and our supporters really enjoy them. It is always great to have such a good venue as The Tropicana and we are grateful to all those who help to make these additional events so successful. We could not raise so much money for Tulips if we did not have local businesses willing to host events, helpers prepared to give up their time to give us assistance and of course, all those who come to our events.”

Entertainment was provided by Johnny Lee who kept the audience entertained with his music and chat and Erol provided a great meal and also made a personal donation to EFRAR 2017 supporting Tulips.
