Re: Super Sunday Sale - 25 Sept in aid of Tulips
THE Super Sunday Sale held on Sunday, 25th September at the Tumba Restaurant and Bar raised TL1,518 for the Help Those With Cancer Association (Tulips).
The day started at 11am but eager beavers arrived early, hoping to catch a bargain. With literally a mountain of good quality, and even some new, clothing for men and women, freshly made food, including Art’s Old Fashioned Curry, a bedding stall, wooden items and jewellery, there was something for everyone.
The food was the winner on the day and that stall was sold out by mid-day. The other stalls all did well and everyone felt they had had a good day.
Mr Şevki Nasipoğlu, owner of the Tumba restaurant did a good lunchtime and evening trade and said: “It is important to support these events in the community and I am pleased that the EFRAR 2017 committee are happy with the outcome”.
Chair of EFRAR 2017, Mary Watson commented: “We had a great day, lots of sales but it would have been even better if the local people of Esentepe had come along to support us.
As always our thanks go to Şevki and his staff, all the ladies of Tulips who attended. The EFRAR Committee and friends for the hours spent baking and collecting jewellery and clothes and, of course, selling it all on the day. Your support is very much appreciated”.
